Can anyone say with 100% certainty that this combination will work or not work with Vista Beta 2? (Apple 23" / ADC to DVI adapter / GeForce FX 5200) I cannot get it to recognize the apple monitor? I have the newest drivers from NVIDIA and other monitors work just not the Apple 23". Any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks!
Mike

I am in the same boat. I have a GeForce 6600 and Apple 23" Cinema HD display with ADC-to-DVI adapter. No go. I think maybe it's a conflict with DVI and nVIDIA card, some people are replacing their cards with ATI to get it to work. I may experiment some more soon. I can get into Safe Mode but that's it. I can't get Vista x64 to work at all, although x86 works fine in Safe Mode only.
What does the monitor show up as in safe mode? "NOn PnP monitor? Does apple have a monitor description file for that monitor to work on XP? Have you tried to "install" it on Vista? My Dell was showing up as generic PnP, and I grabbed the XP monitor profile and set it up under Vista...no real difference for this monitor. "thc" wrote in message

I am in the same boat; I have an Apple 23" with ADC to DVI adapter, only I am running a GeForce 6600. I have seen many posts from folks using nVIDIA display cards that can't get DVI to work at all. VGA works fine, but not DVI. There's even some people trying to use HDMI and hook up their plasma displays to no avail. My only monitor is the digital Apple display, so I can't even use Windows Vista Beta 2 until this issue gets fixed. Right now digital output (DVI) from nVIDIA cards is seriously broken for Vista. We're gonna have to sit tight until an update comes. It's a bummer.
